As part of Allianz Care Australia’s commitment to improving the lives of our members and offering increased choice and options for care, we are now able to offer Allianz Care Australia OSHC members living on the Gold Coast a community-based alternative to traditional emergency department care for the treatment of limb injuries, simple fractures and non-complex broken bones.

The Fracture Clinic offers a community-based service dedicated to treating all patients with a broken bone or limb injury. The service is an efficient and welcoming alternative to the busy hospital fracture clinics. Under the model, patients are seen and treated as quickly as possible and given a range of treatment alternatives such as waterproof casts and removable splints. Patients are seen by practitioners with experience in fractures and trauma, supported by skilled plaster technicians with access to orthopaedic surgeons for specialist opinion if required.

The Fracture Clinic is also conveniently located with on-site Radiology Provider South Coast Radiology, enabling access to state of the art scans, x-ray facilities, and treatment techniques. Most people with an injury can be treated using a plaster, synthetic cast or splint. If surgery is advised, a referral can be made to a recommended surgeon, hospital or a surgeon of your choice.

Allianz Care Australia fully covers the costs associated with treatment from The Fracture Clinic. Radiology is billed separately by the radiology provider and is covered at 85% of the MBS under a member’s policy. As a result, some 'out of pocket' fees may be charged by the radiology provider.
